Philanthropy Australia is the National member organisation for grantmaking trusts and foundations. Their mission is to promote and protect the interests of family, private, corporate and community giving in Australia.

Our Community

ourcommunity is the national gateway for low cost and free tools, help sheets, advice information and training aimed at helping Australia’s community groups and not-for-profits manage, market and operate themselves better, find funds, grants, board members and insurance, form partnerships with business, and use technology more effectively. Our Community operates Australia’s most comprehensive online grants database and its companion EasyGrants newsletter, and is also home to the Australian Giving Centre, which has now collected more than $4.5 million towards almost 700 community group appeals across Australia.

Regional Partnerships

The Department of Transport and Regional Services (DOTARS) has a discretionary part of its budget which is distributed to fund projects in regional areas of Australia. (A “region” includes metropolitan areas as well as rural areas).

The Regional Partnerships program provides matched funding to other funding sources to foster the development of self-reliant communities and regions.
