Wellness for Staff and Service Users at VAHS The Victorian Aboriginal Health Service (VAHS) was established in 1973 by a group of Aboriginal volunteers, with a volunteer Doctor, in response to a need for an appropriate and accessible health service. The VAHS holistic approach to health care, with the emphasis being on preventative medicine, enables it to provide much more than clinical service to the Aboriginal community. The VAHS seeks to plan, deliver and evaluate a comprehensive and integrated trial wellness program of alternative therapies for clients.
