Glendyne For Girls
In the Wide Bay Region of Queensland, teenage girls who've suffered abuse,
drug problems,
or clashes with the law now have a light at the end of the tunnel. The
Glendyne for Girls program provides secondary education, life skills training,
placements into apprenticeships and other employment opportunities. Run
by Qld Baptist Care, it mirrors the successful Glendyne for Boys Program
started in 1998. The Foundation has funded a much-needed part-time Indigenous
Youth Worker to work with all the girls, but especially the Indigenous
girls and their families.
