Broome Aboriginal Media Association
(BAMA ISX) - "Indigenous Stock Exchange" Ngarda Trading Floor
BAMA ISX operates as a not for profit Aboriginal corporation and is owned by the Broome Aboriginal Media Association. The ISX was formed in 2003 and it supports and develops micro and small business Indigenous start ups nationally throughout Indigenous Australia. It attempts to ensure that as many business ready proposals as possible are put before investors and supporters on its trading floors. The organisations long term mission is to create a strong culture of Indigenous entrepreneurship led by sustainable Indigenous enterprises and supported by high quality private capital and business mentoring. The Mary Potter Trust Foundation provided funding for 3 pre seed grants of $5,000 each to entrepreneurs for the Ngarda (Port Hedland) Trading Floor that was held in June 2006. << back to Previous Grants listing
